Senior Cobol Developer
As a Senior Cobol Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our Cobol applications. A strong commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and the delivery of high‑quality products is essential to our success.
Develop and maintain scalable global Cobol applications to support our product offerings.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for software development.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications to ensure optimal performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
~6 years+ of professional proven proficiency in COBOL programming (COBOL‑85), with the ability to write, modify, and maintain both batch and online COBOL programs.
~ Experience in support production systems by troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues in COBOL programs using debugging tools (e.g., Experience in MicroFocus Net Express, Microsoft Visual Basic, C language.
~ Prior work experience in and understanding of Agile.
~ SQL Server, NoSQL, and/or Oracle Databases.
~ Strong knowledge in Business‑Driven Design and Test‑Driven Development.
~ Developing middleware applications using a variety of modern technologies with relational, non‑relational databases and cloud hosted applications.
~ Performance engineering and educating teams on non‑functional requirements to achieve web‑scale.
~ Middleware and security experience, fixing vulnerabilities.
