As part of the Energy Analytics business unit, you’ll work on systems that support analytical applications that help our customers make critical business decisions in energy markets across North America and Europe.
We are looking for engineers who enjoy solving customer problems with high performance solutions, while collaborating closely with product, and domain experts. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with Node.js/Typescript, strong SQL skills, and REST API design. A background in operational support with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus, and candidates with extensive experience in agentic programming will stand out.

The Team:

As part of the Data Infrastructure team, you will be a key contributor to some of the most impactful products at Enverus. We use our Node.js expertise combined with highly performant OLAP database technologies to provide data with close to a million requests per day. Small, fast paced, and highly collaborative, this team values engineers who enjoy tackling difficult technical and domain problems while continuously learning from one another.

Engineers on this team own systems end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, observability, reliability, and operational support.

What you will do:

• Design and develop Saas Node.js/Typescript solutions based on product requirements
• Build, test, and optimize applications to meet demanding performance SLAs, diagnosing and resolving bottlenecks.
• Own the reliability and observability of services handling ~1M daily API requests.
• Operationally support the applications run by the team.
• Mentor team members on emerging technologies and industry trends, applying that knowledge to continuously improve our systems.

What skills you should have:

• At least 5-7 years experience
• Solid working knowledge of SQL
• Experience working with Node.js, Typescript
• Desire and experience using AI to boost productivity

Skills that stand out:

• Deploying 24/7 available applications at scale using kubernetes
• Experience building applications with Docker
• Experience building APIs on top of OLAP databases for real-time analytical workloads
