We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in PHP and TypeScript to design, build, and operate scalable, reliable systems and infrastructure .
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions that meet performance, scalability, and availability goals , while driving engineering excellence through automation, observability, and collaboration . You will lead by example through strong technical design, effective incident management, and mentorship, ensuring system resilience and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and fullstack applications using PHP and TypeScript .
- Build and operate highly available, reliable services that meet performance and uptime requirements.
- Lead technical design and architecture discussions , ensuring best practices and scalability.
- Implement and enhance observability (logging, monitoring, tracing) to improve system reliability.
- Drive automation across development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Participate in and lead incident management , including root cause analysis and post-mortems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, QA) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, promoting best practices and continuous learning.
- Contribute to improving engineering standards, processes, and tooling .
Preferred Skills:
- 5–8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- PHP (Laravel, Symfony, or similar frameworks)
- TypeScript / JavaScript (Node.js and/or modern frontend frameworks like React)
- Experience designing and building distributed systems and microservices architectures .
- Strong understanding of:
- System design, scalability, and performance optimization
- RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture
- Experience with observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing).
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) .
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools .
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
- Experience with database design and optimization (SQL/NoSQL).
- Understanding of security best practices in application development.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
