Software Engineer PLC Programmer
Location: Bromborough & Customer Sites
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Pension + Benefits

The Company
My client is one of UKs leading manufacturers of turnkey machinery solutions to a wide variety of fast moving manufacturing industries. They have over 100 employees on site in Bromborough. With a growing presence, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become centre of excellence within a variety of food machinery solutions to the manufacturing industry. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit an additional software PLC engineer.
Key Skills
- HNC/HND or Equivalent Electrical Engineer
- PLC Programmer, ideally with Automated Process Machinery
- Understanding of FMCG Industry
The Role
Develop,test,andcommissionPLCandHMIsoftwareforprocessingandpackaging equipment. Establishandmanagearemotesupportsystemforengineersandcustomers.Provideremoteandon-sitesupportdiagnosingfaults,guidingrepairs,andimplementing softwareupdates. TravelacrosstheUK & Ireland(approx.4050%)forcommissioning,integration,andtechnical support.Collaboratewithmechanical,electrical,andprojectteamsoncompleteautomationsolutions. Maintainsoftwaredocumentation,systemstandards,andremoteaccessprocedures.
Ensurecompliancewithelectricalandsafetystandardsandcontributetocontinuous improvement. Ideally you will be an experiencedPLCProgrammer/AutomationEngineerwithstrongelectricalknowledge. SkilledinSiemensS7/TIAPortal,Allen-Bradley,Mitsubishi,Fuji,Lenze.
Backgroundincapitalequipment,packaging,orprocessautomationwouldbeadvantageous. This is a fantastic opportunity, within an extremely secure organization, with the ability to develop your skills at the cutting edge of automated process manufacturing technology.
