Adtran is seeking a Junior Software Engineer with knowledge of Python and AWS to join our team. You'll work on Intellifi®, a cloud-based SaaS platform for internet service providers that helps manage, optimize, and monetize their services. Our team builds the intelligence behind network observability - collecting and analyzing observations from hundreds of thousands of devices in real-time and batch pipelines to power home network troubleshooting and automatic network issue detection. We work mainly with Python and AWS serverless. You will be part of a cross-functional Scrum team based in Poland. Your main role will be to build and extend services responsible for network observability, metrics, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders
Implement and contribute to the design of new features
Participate in code reviews
Develop unit tests for implemented software modules
Help fix software bugs found during all testing phases
Work with the team to deliver incremental software releases
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
At least 1 year of software development experience
Experience with Python and cloud tooling (boto3, AWS Powertools)
Experience building serverless services on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, S3)
A self-starter who takes ownership and works proactively
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Proficiency in Polish (C1) and English (B2)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience contributing to large-scale, production software
Familiarity with pyTest
Familiarity with IaC (AWS CDK, CloudFormation), CI/CD (Jenkins), and observability tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrace)
Familiarity with OpenSearch
Basic knowledge of TypeScript or another additional language
Interest in networking technologies and IoT
