About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python, Java full stack, GenAI and modern UI technologies. This role focuses on building scalable, high-quality applications, driving user experience and engineering excellence, leveraging emerging agentic AI-driven development approaches to enhance productivity and innovation.
In this role, you will:
Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Proficiency in Python, React, Angular & Node.js
Strong hands-on experience in frontend technologies and frameworks
Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
Experience building scalable, maintainable UI applications
Experience or familiarity with agentic AI tools / coding assistants
Desired Qualifications:
Exposure to Java Full Stack
Working knowledge of workflow automation platforms such as Camunda
Experience with BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation)
Strong understanding of modern UI/UX principles
Hands-on usage of AI tools for day-to-day development tasks is a strong plus
Job Expectations:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Proficiency in using GitHub Actions and other version control systems is essential for managing code and deployments
Knowledge on database technologies: MongoDB, SQL/No SQL DB.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working with developers, operations teams, and other stakeholders
