Lead Software Engineer (React / TypeScript) – Contract to Hire – Hybrid in Los Angeles
Optomi, in partnership with one of the largest entertainment companies in the world, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help build and evolve core user experiences for streaming platforms. This role sits within an eCommerce team focused on building seamless sign-up, purchase, and subscription management flows that power billions of user interactions. You’ll serve as a hands-on technical leader, architecting scalable and accessible applications in React and TypeScript while mentoring engineers and shaping best practices across the team.

Experience of the right candidate:
- BS in Computer Science or STEM subject
- 7+ years building and scaling performant web applications serving millions of users
- Proven ability to ship production-level React/Node.js apps with high availability on AWS
- Experience with test-driven development, CI/CD practices, and production-grade deployment
Preferred qualifications:
- Deep understanding of web accessibility fundamentals and standards
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and performance tuning
