This particular role is within a dedicated product delivery squad, responsible for several core applications within our broader Saa S suite. About the role: We are seeking a highly talented Senior Software Engineer I, backend focused, with deep expertise in Ruby on Rails to join our dynamic engineering squad. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Saa S applications, mentoring junior engineers, and driving technical excellence across your projects. You will contribute to project planning, timelines, and development strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions under the guidance of more senior squad members. Lead the development of new features and enhancements for our Ruby on Rails-based APIs.· Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.· Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.· Mentor and review work of junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.· Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and technical debt.· Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in Ruby on Rails and web development.· Operate in an Agile development environment. Requirements: · 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong proficiency in Ruby, Rails, and related web technologies.· Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization.· Solid understanding of various database technologies: Postgre SQL, My SQL, and Graph QL.· Experience with testing frameworks RSpec and/or Minitest.· Amazon SQS, Shoryuken, Sidekiq.· Understanding of performance optimization, observability, monitoring, and scaling best practices· Understanding of Git, Github, and CI/CD pipelines· Strong communication and collaboration skills.· Familiarity with front-end technologies (Java Script, Type Script, Angular) is a plus.
