As a senior polyglot engineer, you will design and own security integrations and detections across Datadog’s libraries, focusing on .NET or Java. You’ll take concepts from prototype to production, instrument thousands of applications, and steward operational reliability. Collaborating with product, backend, and frontend teams, you’ll translate ideas into tangible customer value. You’ll contribute to a security-focused product area that spans WAF, RASP, API Security, and code security. This role combines hands-on engineering with product leadership in a fast, scalable environment.

• Design and build security integrations and detections (WAF, RASP, API Security, IAST, SCA) across multiple libraries with .NET and/or Java as primary focus
• Move projects from prototype to production-ready, ensuring instrumentation works across thousands of applications
• Own production operations: monitor telemetry, diagnose cross-system issues, and reduce customer-facing problems
• Shape the roadmap by defining OKRs, decomposing features, and driving RFCs across security library teams
• Collaborate with product, backend, and frontend teams to translate product ideas into adopted capabilities
• Mentor teammates, raise code quality and testing standards, and improve team effectiveness
• Represent Datadog in relevant language and security communities
Responsabilidades
• Expert in at least one of .NET (C#) or Java
• Polyglot contributor capable of working across multiple libraries
• Strong software xqbhyrx engineering fundamentals and maintainable code
• Product-engineering mindset; focus on user experience and outcomes
• Experience shipping libraries/SDKs with packaging, versioning, and backward compatibility
• Performance and cost-conscious, with ability to measure and optimize
• Operational maturity and ownership of shipped code in production
• Clear written and spoken communication; able to drive RFCs and collaboration
• BS/MS/PhD in a STEM field or equivalent experience
