Responsibilities About the Role
Keysight DES EDA is a leader in Electronic Design Automation (EDA), delivering cutting edge software solutions for semiconductor and system design. We are looking for passionate software engineers to develop high-quality, scalable, and innovative software products used by customers worldwide.
You will work on software development, architecture, automation, performance optimization, and cross-platform application development while collaborating with global engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software applications and automation solutions. Develop new features, frameworks, and algorithms. Improve software architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability. Build and support cross-platform solutions on Windows and Linux. Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, and debugging. Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Leverage AI-powered development tools, coding assistants, and autonomous agents to accelerate software design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation. Design, develop, and integrate AI-driven workflows, automation solutions, and intelligent agents to improve engineering productivity and business processes. Evaluate, prototype, and adopt emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and developer tools to enhance software delivery, quality, and operational efficiency. Required Skills
Strong programming skills in C++ (Modern C++ preferred). Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and Software Engineering principles. Experience with Qt, GUI development, and cross-platform programming. Proficiency in Python, Perl, or Shell scripting. Familiarity with Git, CMake, Jenkins, JIRA, and CI/CD practices. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Understanding software security, testing, and code quality practices. Experience with Agile development methodologies. Experience using AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor) for coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Understanding of AI/LLM concepts, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, and integrating AI services through APIs and SDKs. Ability to identify and implement automation opportunities using AI tools and intelligent agents across the software development lifecycle. Preferred Skills
Knowledge of parallel computing, distributed systems, or cloud technologies. Exposure to EDA tools and semiconductor design workflows. Experience with performance optimization and large-scale software systems. Knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and enterprise AI adoption best practices. Selection Process
