These roles form part of the Long Term Savings value stream.
Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer in Web Development to join our dynamic team at Royal London. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise to help our teams design, develop, test, and implement efficient solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of complex technical solutions, managing your own workload and that of the developers in the team.
Provide technical advice and guidance to other software developers, both proactively and reactively.
Ensure that all code meets Royal London Group standards, guidelines and quality gates for the selected technologies.
Encourage close collaboration with other disciplines within the team and with dependent teams.
Take an active role in knowledge transfer and sharing of experiences relating to your area of technical expertise at practice level.
About you We are looking for someone who has proven experience leading software engineering teams, strong technical expertise in web development, and a track record of delivering high‑quality code on time and within budget.
