Software Engineering Lead - Java and Mainframe

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation by streamlining workflows and automating repetitive tasks. Evaluate emerging trends to drive continuous improvement and strategic innovation
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree
  • Full Stack Engineer with 6+ years of experience in Java and 2+ years of experience in Mainframe development
  • Experience with frameworks and technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and relational databases
  • Hands-on experience with build and deployment tools (Maven/Gradle) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions)
  • Experience in test automation using tools like JUnit, Selenium, or Playwright
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
  • Proficiency in Java SE (Java 8/11/17/21) and exposure to mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS)
  • Ability to participate in design discussions and translate business requirements into scalable solutions with minimal customization
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Onshore-Offshore delivery models
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
