- Basic SQL proficiency - able to write queries to retrieve and inspect data from relational databases.
- Familiarity with JSON, XML, and common data interchange formats used in API integrations.
Infrastructure & Deployment Awareness:
- Basic understanding of application deployment concepts - familiarity with what it means to deploy a service to a server or cloud environment, even if hands-on enterprise deployment experience is limited.
- Exposure to containerization concepts (Docker) and cloud environments (Azure or AWS) is a plus.
- Willingness to learn enterprise deployment processes - including security reviews, platform onboarding, VM provisioning, and CI/CD pipeline management - with mentorship from senior team members.
Engineering Practices:
- Experience with Git-based version control and basic branching/merge workflows.
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts - understanding what a build pipeline does, even without deep hands-on experience configuring one.
- Commitment to writing readable, tested, and documented code - with openness to feedback through code review.
Soft Skills:
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn - energized by working across a broad stack and developing expertise in a new problem domain.
- Strong communication skills - able to ask good questions, communicate progress clearly, and collaborate effectively with teammates and governance stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset - comfortable digging into unfamiliar codebases, APIs, and systems to figure things out.
- Organized and reliable - able to manage tasks, meet commitments, and flag blockers proactively.
Must Have Skills:
- Working proficiency in React and TypeScript, with at least one meaningful UI project to show (work, school, or personal)
