Solution Architect

Our client is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a high-performing team delivering complex and innovative software solutions within a large-scale industrial and technology environment.
Roster: Monday-Friday Perth based
Start date: ASAP
Duration: approx. 12 months - depending on client requirements
Pay Rate: $110.00 p/h + Super depending on experience

The Role:
This position plays a critical role in bridging business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring solutions are scalable, efficient and aligned with broader product strategies and architectural standards.
Working closely with Product Owners, Software Architects, Systems Engineers, Development Teams and QA, you will be responsible for designing solutions that extend and enhance existing systems while supporting seamless integration across multiple technologies and platforms.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop solution designs aligned with established architecture frameworks, product standards and high-level system designs.
- Translate business and product requirements into detailed technical solutions and implementation plans.
- Break solution designs into clear and actionable work packages for software delivery teams.
- Define system dependencies and interface requirements to ensure successful integration across multiple components and systems.
- Ensure all solution designs comply with functional safety and engineering requirements.
- Analyse existing systems and identify opportunities for enhancement, optimisation and standardisation.
- Provide technical guidance and design support throughout the development lifecycle.
- Define API and third-party integration methods in accordance with established standards.
- Select and recommend appropriate technologies and frameworks for efficient implementation.
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation, including system diagrams, component interactions and data flows.
Required Experience:
- Extensive experience designing and delivering complex software solutions.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Proven experience with systems integration, APIs and interface design.
- Experience translating high-level requirements into detailed technical designs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within Agile or product-based delivery environments.
- Exposure to work package creation and project delivery methodologies.
Highly Regarded:
- Experience within mining, industrial technology, autonomous systems, robotics, defence or heavy industry environments.
- Exposure to functional safety standards and requirements.
- Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering and software teams.
