Solution Developer – Python | AWS | Snowflake | Transport Technology
Contract until 30/09/26 (2 x 12-month extensions available) | Brisbane | Hybrid Working
We're partnering with a major Queensland Government program to recruit an experienced Solution Developer to join a large-scale transport technology transformation.
This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile program delivering innovative operational capabilities that will improve the way Queensland's transport network is monitored and managed. You'll be developing cloud-based applications and data solutions that support real-time operational decision-making across a complex, mission-critical environment.
What you'll be doing
- Design and develop applications for data processing, integration and analytics within an AWS environment.
- Develop robust, scalable solutions using Python, C#, SQL and Linux scripting.
- Build and integrate cloud services including AWS Lambda, S3, EC2, Kinesis and API Gateway.
- Work with large data sets and support database solutions, including Snowflake.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects and technical SMEs.
- Produce technical documentation and ensure solutions align with security, architecture and development standards.
- Build prototypes, refine solutions through stakeholder feedback and deliver production-ready applications.
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience as a Solution Developer, Software Developer or Cloud Developer.
- Strong development skills in Python, C#, SQL and Linux scripting.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, S3, EC2, Kinesis and API Gateway.
- Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Knowledge of API development, data integration and analytics solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience in transport, operational technology (OT), IoT, data engineering or large enterprise environments will be highly regarded.
