Specimen Processing Technician

Contract Opportunity | 36+ Months | Potential for Permanent Hire

Looking for a fast-paced role where accuracy matters? Join a laboratory operations team supporting clinical testing by processing and preparing specimens for analysis.

What You'll Do

  • Receive, verify, and process clinical specimens
  • Prepare samples for testing (centrifuging, serum separation, staging, etc.)
  • Review specimen information to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform data entry and maintain records as needed
  • Label, scan, sort, and route specimens to the appropriate departments
  • Handle 200450 specimens daily while meeting quality and productivity goals

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or equivalent

12 years of experience in healthcare, laboratory, specimen processing, or a related field

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment

Basic computer and data entry experience

Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced laboratory setting
  • Mix of specimen processing, scanning, labeling, data entry, and sample transport
  • Productivity metrics tracked weekly
  • Ability to sit or stand throughout the shift
  • Workload may vary from day to day, so flexibility is key

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
