  • Experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS
  • Skilled in SQL for issue analysis
  • Familiarity with Kusto Query Language (KQL)
  • Experience with Microsoft DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Scripting experience in Bash, PowerShell, Python
  • Understanding of ITIL processes
  • Experience with monitoring tools like DataDog
  • Ability to manage competing priorities

Senior Associate – SQL Database Administrator

Role responsibilities include owning the reliability, performance, security, and availability of enterprise SQL databases and managing complex clusters and modernisation initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Own reliability, performance, security, and availability of enterprise SQL databases
  • Manage complex multi-node clusters, performance engineering, mission-critical tuning, security enforcement, and DR orchestration
  • Lead high-impact database changes, RCAs, and modernization initiatives
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and provisioning pipelines (Terraform/Ansible)
  • Schedule and validate backups, conduct DR tests, maintain runbooks
  • Plan and apply vendor patches, validate post-upgrade functionality
  • Monitor performance and capacity, tune queries and indexes, forecast growth
  • Configure clustering, HA, Always On, log shipping, replication, failover drills
  • Implement encryption, masking, RBAC, audit user activity, generate compliance reports
  • Detect and troubleshoot database incidents, document root causes
  • Develop scripts for automation (Shell, PowerShell, PL/SQL, T-SQL)
  • Provide weekly performance dashboards and recommend optimisations

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 4‑7 years of SQL Server administration experience
  • Proficiency with Azure SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, PowerShell, AWS RDS, Aurora, Terraform, Ansible
  • Experience with ITSM processes
