Title: SQL Database Admin
Location: Canada -Remote
Required:
SQL DBA: Primary: SQL admin, Azure SQL or SQL Server on Azure/AWS.
Secondary: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release support for database changes.
Key responsibilities
- 10+ years of SQL Server DBA experience in production environments.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability (Always On AG).
- Hands-on experience migrating SQL Server 2016 to newer versions in Always On setups.
- Proficient in T-SQL scripting, query optimization, indexing, execution plans, replication, clustering, and CDC.
- Experience with database security, auditing, PAM solutions, BeyondTrust onboarding, and data masking.
- Manage database monitoring, patching, upgrades, automation, and production support.
- Knowledge of Windows Server environments and infrastructure coordination.
- Preferred: Azure/AWS SQL environments, Redgate/SolarWinds/SentryOne monitoring tools, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
