To strengthen our data backbone and analytics capability, we are looking for a skilled Database Developer who can ensure high-performance databases, accurate reporting, and reliable dashboards.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled SQL/Database Developer with 3+ years of experience in database design, development, optimization, and maintenance. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL programming, database performance tuning, data modeling, ETL processes, and troubleshooting database-related issues. The candidate will work closely with application developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to support data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexes.
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing strategies.
- Develop and support ETL processes for data integration and migration.
- Monitor database health, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance improvements.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database solutions.
- Perform database troubleshooting and resolve production issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to database structures and processes.
- Support data warehousing and reporting requirements.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with SQL programming (Advanced SQL).
- Hands-on experience with databases such as:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- Oracle Database
- Expertise in writing Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, and CTEs.
- Experience in Query Optimization and Performance Tuning.
- Knowledge of Database Design and Data Modeling concepts.
- Experience with ETL tools and data migration activities.
- Understanding of Indexing, Partitioning, and Database Security.
- Familiarity with Reporting and BI tools is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud databases on 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐀𝐳𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐛 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐀𝐖𝐒), 𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 (𝐆𝐂𝐏).
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts.
- Exposure to version control tools such as 𝐆𝐢𝐭.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SQL and database development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with database administration activities.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Exposure to Big Data technologies and cloud-native database services.
