We are looking for a SQL Database Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, SQL/PL-SQL, database performance tuning, and backend database development . The ideal candidate should be passionate about building scalable database solutions, optimizing complex SQL queries, and ensuring high database performance and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database objects including Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and Indexes .
- Develop efficient SQL and PL/SQL code to support business applications.
- Optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies for maximum performance.
- Monitor database health and troubleshoot performance issues using SQL Profiler, Redgate, SentryOne, SSMS , and related monitoring tools.
- Perform database migrations and support deployment activities.
- Ensure data integrity through constraints, schema design, and best database practices.
- Identify and resolve blocking, deadlocks, long-running queries, and other database bottlenecks.
- Implement secure coding practices to prevent SQL Injection and other database vulnerabilities.
- Develop complex reports and support reporting requirements.
- Participate in application design discussions and provide database architecture recommendations.
- Perform routine database maintenance, backup, recovery, and operational support.
- Maintain database documentation, standards, and best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct database code reviews.
- Evaluate new database technologies and recommend improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) .
- Expertise in T-SQL, SQL, and PL/SQL programming.
- Hands-on experience developing Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers, Packages, and Indexes .
- Strong knowledge of Database Performance Tuning , Query Optimization, Execution Plans, and Index Management.
- Experience with SSMS, SQL Profiler, Redgate SQL Monitor, SentryOne, Toad, and SSIS .
- Good understanding of database migration, backup & recovery, security, permissions, and database administration fundamentals.
- Experience troubleshooting production database issues.
- Knowledge of relational database concepts and data integrity.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with other RDBMS platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
- Exposure to Azure SQL or AWS RDS.
- Database Administration (DBA) experience.
- Microsoft SQL Server or Database-related certifications.
