Note: This is a hands-on SQL Server Administrator / Windows Server Administrator role. Candidates with only SQL Developers, Database Developers, or Database Analysts will not be a fit.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Administrator with strong Windows Server administration skills. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server environments in enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Perform SQL Server installations, backups, restores, cloning, and code migrations.
- Troubleshoot SQL Server performance and database issues.
- Build, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Create and manage virtual servers using VMware or Hyper-V.
- Perform server patching, upgrades, maintenance, and security updates.
- Support application teams with SQL Server connectivity and database issues.
- Develop technical documentation and automate routine tasks using PowerShell.
- Ensure server and database environments remain secure, stable, and available.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on Windows Server Administration.
- Strong experience with:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
- Active Directory
- VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V
- DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
- PowerShell scripting
- Experience with SQL:
- Installation
- Backups & Restores
- Database Cloning
- Code Migrations
- Performance Troubleshooting
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Microsoft Windows Server certifications.
- Experience with Azure Virtual Machines or Hybrid Cloud.
- Infrastructure automation experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications on Windows Server.
Not a Fit
- SQL Developers or T-SQL Developers.
- Database Analysts or Reporting Developers.
- Windows Administrators without SQL Server administration experience.
- DBAs with only Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL experience.
- Candidates without hands-on Windows Server administration.
