We're looking for a senior engineer to help build and run a modern Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) platform used by finance teams for planning, forecasting, reporting, consolidation, and decision-making.
This is a hands‑on full‑stack role with strong back‑end ownership. You'll deliver features end to end, support production systems, and act as an engineering anchor. You'll work closely with customer‑facing teams, understand customer needs, explain complex technical and financial concepts clearly, and turn feedback into reliable product improvements.
The ideal candidate combines a strong engineering background with solid finance fluency and excellent communication skills.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and sustain full‑stack features spanning front‑end, back‑end, and microservices
Own production issues through to root cause across apps, queues, databases, and infrastructure
Trace a figure on a report back to its source and explain it to a customer in their own language
Communicate clearly across distributed teams through async updates, tickets, documentation, runbooks, and technical discussions
Contribute to AI agents and guardrails for trustworthy financial data, including agent design, response streaming, numeric faithfulness, permission scope, and human‑in‑the‑loop confirmation before data changes
Uphold and help shape engineering standards, architecture, and collaboration practices
What You’ll Bring
8+ years of commercial back‑end or full‑stack development
Modern Java and production Spring ecosystem experience
Kotlin experience
Front end experience with any of the following: React, Angular, Typescript
Hands‑on with SQL/No SQL databases, APIs, messaging, integrations, and cloud‑hosted applications
Strong engineering fundamentals: clean code, design patterns, testing, and sound judgment across monoliths and microservices
A real finance/accounting foundation — you can read and reason about financial statements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and financial topics clearly to engineers, product teams, support teams, and customers
What Could Set You Apart
Familiarity with FP&A or financial‑consolidation products
Experience building or shipping LLM/agent features
