Overview The Institutional Lending Tech Team needs a Backend Engineer to build and maintain Java services for a Mission Critical Platform.
You'll design REST APIs, implement Business Logic, optimize Data Access, and collaborate across Engineering and Product Teams to deliver leading-edge and scalable systems supporting multiple business verticals across Lending Origination, Underwriting, Asset Management, Business Operations, Market Insights, Loan Pricing, and Risk Calculations.
What You'll Do in the Role - Design, develop, and maintain a Reusable, Testable, High-Performance Platform that supports multiple Lending Business Lines.
- Build Spring Boot Microservices and REST APIs; implement robust Data Access Layers.
- Apply best practices in Code Reviews, Automated Testing, and SDLC Execution.
- Collaborate with Global, Cross-Functional Teams to deliver End-to-End Solutions and contribute to Agile Ceremonies.
- Ensure Quality, Security, and Compliance Standards in all development activities.
- Independently drive technical initiatives and provide technical advice.
What You'll Bring to the Role - 7+ years of hands-on experience building Java 11+ Services with Spring Boot and secured RESTful Microservices.
- Strong expertise in Relational or Document Databases (SQL, MongoDB, ES, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with AI Developer Productivity Tools (GitHub Copilot, Amp, or similar).
- Fluent English Communication Skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent Problem-Solving and Analytical Ability.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Methodologies.
Nice-to-Have Skills - Familiarity with Performance Tuning and Observability Tooling.
