We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our global development team, distributed across four MSIM locations. The ideal candidate will contribute to designing and building a modern technology stack that powers digital platforms, enabling efficiencies for our Investment Teams. This is a front-office role requiring strong technical expertise and close collaboration with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop modern, modular, and scalable web applications following best coding and testing practices. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute toward achieving team goals. Collaborate with a global team of technologists across multiple locations. Drive innovation by contributing ideas and implementing best-in-class solutions. Partner with end users (Fixed Income team) to gather requirements and design effective solutions. Core Competencies
7+ years of experience in developing enterprise-level Python applications. Strong expertise in building scalable backend systems using Python. Hands-on experience with Python frameworks and ORM tools. Solid understanding of MVC architecture for web applications. Experience in writing unit, component, and integration tests. Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems. Experience with build and deployment tooling. Ability to interact with stakeholders for requirement gathering and lead Agile practices. Strong understanding of financial markets and financial instruments. Experience with Fixed Income portfolio tools and data is a plus. Willingness to learn and work with proprietary cloud-based technologies. Must-Have Skills
Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to independently drive solutions. Solid understanding of system design principles along with strong Python programming skills. Hands-on experience with Generative AI and RAG-based applications. Experience in building enterprise-level AI agents and intelligent systems. Ability to design scalable and efficient end-to-end solutions. Frontend exposure is a plus (preferably Angular), but strong Python expertise is mandatory, along with experience in developing Gen AI / RAG applications.
