Position Overview
Our client is seeking a strong Senior React Engineer to build complex, scalable, and responsive user experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript, along with modern frontend technologies and experience developing applications for varied device capabilities.
Experience with Smart TVs, Set-Top Boxes (STBs), and non-standard browsers is preferred but not mandatory. Strong candidates with React/TypeScript and Content Management System (CMS) experience may also be considered. Any exposure to AI-assisted development or AI technologies is preferred.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on proficiency with React and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with React.js, Redux, Next.js, MUI, and Redux Saga.
- Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and DOM.
- Experience building complex, interactive, and responsive user interfaces.
- Strong understanding of component-driven architecture and modern frontend data-flow patterns.
- Experience with JavaScript packages, package managers, and bundlers.
- Experience with CSS Grid and responsive design.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests and following sound engineering practices.
- Experience working with APIs, DevOps pipelines/processes, and SonarQube.
- Strong understanding of browser rendering and application performance optimization.
- Ability to optimize applications for different device capabilities and network conditions.
- Experience leading small teams and mentoring junior developers.
- Proficiency with Cursor or similar AI-assisted development tools for day-to-day coding workflows.
Other Experience
- Smart TV, Set-Top Box, embedded-device, or similar UI development experience.
- Experience with non-standard browsers, including WebKit-based TV platforms.
- Experience with remote-control navigation and other non-traditional input patterns.
- Experience handling non-standard screen resolutions and display constraints.
- Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and content delivery platforms.
- Exposure to device management platforms.
- Hospitality technology experience or exposure to Property Management System (PMS) integrations.
- Experience with AI technologies or AI-assisted development.
