SRE Azure /Java Developer

Role Overview We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Backend Support Engineer (Java – Spring Boot) to join a project in the financial sector. This is a fully remote role based in Mexico , working closely with development teams in Madrid and business stakeholders in the US. The selected candidate will support and ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of cloud-based microservices running in Azure. Key Responsibilities SRE / Platform Operations: Monitor microservices using Grafana, Azure App Insights, and Log Analytics Analyze and resolve incidents related to performance, availability, and latency Ensure SLA compliance across production and pre-production environments Manage Kubernetes workloads in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Use Terraform for infrastructure management Collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability Backend Support (Java / Spring Boot): Support and maintain microservices built in Java Spring Boot Manage integrations with Azure Event Hubs Support APIs through Azure API Management (APIM) Support authentication flows via Azure AD B2C Troubleshoot incidents and support production environments Location: Fully remote role (Mexico-based) Profile Requirements Mid/Senior experience in cloud-based microservices operations or backend support Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and Terraform Solid background in Java Spring Boot (for backend role) Experience with event-driven architectures (Event Hubs is a plus) Knowledge of PostgreSQL and REST APIs Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Azure DevOps Strong communication skills in Spanish and English Benefits Comprehensive private health insurance (for employees and dependents) Basic medical insurance coverage Life insurance Grocery vouchers ($900 MXN monthly) Savings fund: 3% employee contribution additional 3% by Sngular English training support ($1,000 MXN monthly for 12 months, starting after the 6th month) Free group English classes Unlimited certification bonus (up to $10,000 MXN per certification) Unlimited access to Udemy Annual training and conference budget
