Location: Woonsocket, RI (Onsite) Relocation will work
Contract: 12+ Months Contract

Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced SRE DevOps Engineer with strong Java programming skills to join our team in Woonsocket, RI. If you're passionate about automation, cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and building highly reliable, scalable systems, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
Support and enhance microservices-based applications in cloud and hybrid environments.
Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and Rancher.
Develop proactive monitoring, dashboards, and alerting strategies.
Define and maintain SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets.
Lead production incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems.
Improve application performance, reliability, and deployment efficiency.
Partner with development teams to implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices.
Support mission-critical retail and pharmacy applications across distributed environments.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related roles
3+ years supporting large-scale, highly available, cloud-native environments
Strong Java programming experience
Oracle Database proficiency
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher
CI/CD using Jenkins, GitHub, or Bitbucket
Observability tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana
Scripting and automation (Bash, Python, or similar)
Experience with REST/Web APIs and microservices architecture
