Position: SRE / DevOps Engineer (Java)
Location: Woonsocket, RI (Onsite Relocation Available)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SRE / DevOps Engineer with strong Java programming skills to support and enhance large-scale, cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability tools, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
Required Skills:- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Strong experience with Java programming and Oracle Database.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher, and microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
- Experience with monitoring tools including Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Shell, Python, or similar languages.
- Knowledge of SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, incident management, and performance optimization.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application reliability, availability, and performance.
- Implement observability solutions, dashboards, and proactive alerting.
- Lead production incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement SRE best practices.
- Manage and optimize containerized microservices running on Kubernetes/OpenShift in hybrid cloud environments.
