If that sounds like you, you can win at Wilsonart. Stacker - Melamine Helps operate and maintain the melamine treaters. Insure that material is cut to specific lengths and stacked neatly. Help set up and run the melamine rewinders. All jobs are done with continual emphasis on visual quality under the direction of Checker/Foreman/Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Retrieves the proper size pallet to stack the treated materialSet up and maintain treater equipment to insure properly stacked and cut materialStack material according to specified length and width from Product Quality DepartmentMonitors the quality of the treated sheetInspects material for pattern defects, crumbs, dirt, wrinkles, water spots, etc.Sets cutter to proper sheet lengthChanges the completed pallet for a new palletSet up and run the rewinders to produce neat rewound rollsMake labels for palletsRequired to complete and pass Confined Space and Tight-Fitting Respirator TrainingAbility to read and understand treater scheduleMaintain a clean and safe work environmentClean the treaterAssist wet end operation as neededCross-train for the checker and wet end positionCreates and completes WIP jobs in Oracle

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to read a tape measureAbility to understand and follow directionsKnowledge of computers sufficient to utilize word processors, spreadsheets, databases,Oracle, and WIP transactionsKnowledge of safety standards applicable to the Melamine Department and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standardsAbility to understand and follow directionsAbility to be comfortable and safety conscious when operating machineryKnowledge of mathematics as it applies to treater operations.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION:High School Graduate or GED

EXPERIENCESix (6) months stacker/sheeter experienceIf no candidates possess this experience, the Company will accept six (6) months experience in Assembly, Melamine, Phenolic, Pressing, Sander or Finished Goods.

Working Conditions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight 50 -100 pounds.

All positions consist of working rotating shift work.ENVIRONMENT:Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff
