Your role as Staff DevOps Developer

Reporting to Alexandre Rimthong, Director of Software Development, you will contribute to the evolution of Dialogue’s platform infrastructure and ensure it is reliable, secure, cost‑effective, up‑to‑date, automated and runs smoothly to serve millions of members.

As a platform developer, you will support product teams and ensure the platform meets short, mid, and long‑term needs, continuously improving efficiency and autonomy.

You will maintain a high bar for quality, lead and mentor other engineers, participate in building a culture with strong engineering values and goals, emphasize quick deployment cycles while following best practices and code reviews, and work hands‑on in the code to contribute technically.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and implement robust, secure, cost‑effective, long‑lasting infrastructure solutions
  • Participate in the mid‑ and long‑term vision and roadmap of the Dialogue platform infrastructure
  • Improve monitoring and observability of the overall platform and empower ownership of product teams
  • Guide responsible and effective use of AI in the development lifecycle and in the care platform
  • Participate in the definition and implementation of the infrastructure team’s objectives
  • Collaborate closely with product development and IT teams to ensure infrastructure needs are captured and planned according to overall project planning

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Familiarity with one of the three main cloud infrastructure providers: AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and managing the Kubernetes containerization platform
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and managing firewalls and intrusion detection systems
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools: firewalls, IDS, confidentiality management, network policies, etc.
  • Experience managing a CI/CD platform such as CircleCI, Travis, TeamCity, Jenkins, etc.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language: Python, Node.js, Golang, Bash, etc.
  • Experience with automated tests: unit, integration, system, etc.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools: Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, etc.

As we serve customers across Canada, bilingualism is an asset for this position. You may be required to communicate in French and English.
