Staff Software Engineer I - NodeJS, Microservices, Cloud & Typescript/JavaScript

Scope:

  • Work on projects involving development of new features, sustenance, handling engineering escalations
  • Participate in all phases of product development cycle: from product definition and design, through implementation, debugging, testing and early customer support

Our current technical environment:

  • Software: Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, React
  • Application Architecture: Multi-tenant microservices, Docker, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Snowflake
  • DevOps: CI/CD, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD (GitOps)
  • Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Azure, AWS

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute across the full stack where appropriate, including frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with the Android engineering team to define API contracts, coordinate releases and troubleshoot integration issues.
  • Work closely with product owners from ideation and discovery through delivery and ongoing improvement.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering planning.
  • Drive architecture and designs to become simpler, more robust, and more efficient. Deliver on these promises through self-healing, reliable services that require minimum manual intervention.
  • Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Take ownership of solutions throughout their lifecycle, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.

What we are looking for:

  • 10-13 years of very strong development experience in Node JS, Microservices & Cloud experience

  • Good to have exposure on TypeScript/JavaScript development experience, with an interest in working across the stack.

  • Experience working with relational databases to support SQL reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Experience building and maintaining APIs, services, and data-driven applications. Familiarity with continuous delivery and GitOps tooling.
  • Practical experience deploying, configuring, and supporting containerized applications in Kubernetes environments. Strong communication skills are essential, both written and oral, targeted at a wide variety of internal and external audiences
  • Experience working directly with product owners, stakeholders, or users during product discovery and ideation.
  • A strong commitment to automated testing and building reliable, maintainable software.
