Scope:
Process once in a lifetime cord blood and cord tissue samples that are received at CBR Tucson, ensuring that the samples are treated with the highest regard for quality and efficiency.
Job Summary:
Process cord blood and cord tissue samples under the direction of the Stem Cell Processing leadership team.
Travel:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to 'zoom in' to detail quickly and accurately. Checks information and identifies inconsistencies or errors.

Work Environment:
Schedule/ Work Hour Requirements:
Work hours dictated by the requirements of the lab; flexible to work alternate schedules, able to work mid-shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Responsible for monitoring work hours to avoid the accrual of overtime. Overtime must be approved by a Supervisor and be documented in the timekeeping system
Must report to work within 1.5 hours from the receipt of notification if “On Call” for a given shift.

The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment while utilizing cleaning reagents that may contain hazardous chemicals.
The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment while utilizing liquid nitrogen and working with equipment that maintains extreme low temperatures.
Experience / Education:
or High School diploma with 2 years of equivalent work experience;
or 1 year of experience working at CBR;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
