Summary Description
We are looking for a Mid-Level Structural Analysis Engineer to support aerospace and/or aeronautical engineering projects, with a focus on metallic and/or composite structures. The engineer will be responsible for performing static analysis, fatigue analysis, and damage tolerance evaluations to support product development, certification, modifications, and in-service support activities.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in structural calculations, interpretation of technical requirements, engineering drawings, finite element modeling, and technical report preparation. A solid understanding of strength of materials, structural mechanics, margins of safety, and structural substantiation methods is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform static analysis of aircraft structures using hand calculations and/or finite element methods.
- Support fatigue and structural life assessments under technical guidance.
- Support damage tolerance evaluations, including crack growth assessment and inspection criteria.
- Prepare finite element models, loads, boundary conditions, and basic correlation activities.
- Prepare clear and traceable technical reports aligned with certification requirements.
- Interface with design, loads, materials, certification, manufacturing, and product support teams.
Desired Qualifications:
- Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Approximately 4 to 7 years of experience in structural analysis.
- Experience with tools such as Nastran, Patran, FEMAP, HyperMesh, Abaqus, ANSYS, or similar.
- Experience with metallic and/or composite aircraft structures.
- Knowledge of static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, structural margins, and certification documentation.
