Salary: USD95000 - USD110000 per annum + negotiable

LVI Associates is representing an established structural engineering consulting firm in their search for a Structural Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer seeking exposure to a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects while working in a collaborative, design-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in structural analysis and design, with a strong preference for individuals who have worked extensively on wood-frame construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with architects, contractors, developers, and property owners from concept design through construction completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design for residential, mixed-use, and commercial building projects.
  • Prepare structural calculations, construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Design structural systems utilizing wood, steel, concrete, and masonry materials.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout the design process.
  • Review architectural drawings and develop efficient, cost-effective structural solutions.
  • Conduct site visits, field observations, and existing condition assessments.
  • Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and provide construction-phase engineering support.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, design standards, and industry best practices.
  • Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
  • Support project delivery from schematic design through construction administration.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis.
  • 3+ years of structural engineering experience within a consulting environment.
  • Experience preparing structural calculations and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, and applicable building codes.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred
  • Experience with residential, multifamily, and light commercial projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or active pursuit of licensure.
  • Familiarity with structural engineering software such as:
    • RISA
    • RAM Structural System
    • ETABS
    • SAP2000
    • Enercalc
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Seismic design and retrofit experience.
  • Construction administration and field observation experience.
