The EHS Supervisor in the automotive industry will be responsible for leading and coordinating activities related to environmental, health, and safety management at the assigned plant or area. Their primary objective will be to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly work environment, complying with internal and external regulations and policies.
Main responsibilities:
Oversee and promote the implementation of EHS programs and policies at the plant.
Conduct periodic inspections to identify risks and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Train and raise awareness among staff on EHS issues, promoting a culture of prevention and responsibility.
Investigate incidents, accidents, or near misses and propose corrective actions to prevent their recurrence.
Coordinate and participate in internal and external EHS-related audits.
Manage the proper disposal of waste, emissions, and other environmental aspects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Maintain up-to-date EHS records and reports and submit them to management.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate safe and sustainable practices into production processes.
Ensure all employees have the appropriate personal protective equipment and use it correctly.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Safety, Chemistry, or related fields.
Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in the automotive industry.
Thorough knowledge of Mexican and international safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and resolve issues quickly.
Ability to conduct audits, risk analysis, and report preparation.
Proactive leadership and commitment to continuous improvement in EHS.
Intermediate English language
