We are seeking an Support Engineer who is interested in joining the Support Engineering Team team at Blis. The role sits in-between Ad Ops and the Engineering team, to help campaigns run smoothly and to troubleshoot and solve any technical issues that may occur. The role also includes helping integrate and certify with new third-party ad technologies that Blis works with. This requires careful planning and testing as well as internal and external communication skills and coding experience.

Location - Mumbai (Jogeshwari)

Shift: 2pm - 10 pm (IST)

Key responsibilities

  • Support the campaign management team with the technical setup and delivery of RTB campaigns across the Blis platform
  • Support the creative team to build and host creative with all relevant tracking required
  • Jira – quickly and efficiently solve or escalate troubleshooting tickets submitted by the Operations team
  • Perform campaign debugging duties in line with SLA
  • Assist engineering team with test processes for new functionality within Blis systems
  • Identifies and flags risks within their tickets and can quickly highlight red flags and patterns
  • Provide training to fellow team members on project rollouts, the latest product updates
  • Lead on third-party certification processes and keep up to date with third-party ad technology
  • Regularly impart knowledge and proven processes into the company knowledge base for the benefit of the wider team
  • Validate campaign setup when required and Troubleshoot any technical issues for the campaign.
  • Check to track across metrics and media types to ensure the campaign is running correctly.
  • Run the certification process for new servers and tools, e.g. rich media provider


Skills and requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science and (3-5 years) related hands-on engineering experience
  • Understand Linux/Unix/Windows Operating System.
  • Some Shell Scripting knowledge.
  • PHP, Java, Javascript, and HTML experience (basic to intermediate).
  • Knowledge of Mobile App technology (especially Android and iPhone).
  • Understand networking (basic to intermediate).
  • Good prioritization and time management skills.
  • Experience in Github or Gitlab preferred
  • Practical experience of using incident tracking systems, such as JIRA.
  • Strong MySQL adding/deleting/updating campaign tags and other aspects of the campaign setting – PostgreSQL experience appreciated.
  • Good understanding of the HTTP and HTTPS protocols.
  • Good understanding of API e.g. REST API.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mobile App technology and framework for issues
  • Experience within the advertising or ad tech industries
