JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking for a Java Developer in Boston, MA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Independently develops and maintains software applications.
* Works on complex analytical and programming tasks, requiring knowledge of programming languages and data communications and general knowledge of the business operations/customer support.
* Leads development and maintenance efforts supporting software applications.
* May function as a Project Manager on smaller projects.
REQUIREMENTS
* Overall looking for a candidate with experience working on core financial platforms while implementing functionalities.
* 10+ years of experience.
* Must have experience in financial services – front office, trading platforms, computing business metrics – equities trading, executing trades, calculating P&L, etc.
* Requires real‑time financial application development; applications must run reports immediately and not only after daily batch runs.
* Strong core Java fundamentals including multi‑threading and data structures.
* React.js experience.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.
