We are looking for an algorithm-motivated person/ simulation engineer with an interest in Layer 1 (L1) algorithms (OSI 7-layer model), from system level all the way to L1 architecture and specification of 3GPP - mobile broadband standard. You will be located in Amadora, Portugal, working within a global team and helping to ramp up a new system simulation team.

  • Algorithm definition and optimization
  • Modeling the algorithms/ functionalities in link level simulator
  • Perform technical reviews including documenting
  • Helping to ramp up a new team and guiding other team members
  • Contributions to L1 Architecture

You have:

  • A Master’s degree or higher in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • A solid background in wireless and telecommunications systems
  • Strong programming skills in MATLAB
  • Good understanding of Layer 1 (L1) algorithms
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluency in English

It would be a plus if you also have:

  • Knowledge of 3GPP standardization processes, documentation, and industry forums
  • Understanding of L1 SoC chipsets and chip-level architecture
  • Background in communication theory and signal processing
