You will be working with InforMH – a team responsible for data development, collection, analysis and reporting for NSW public mental health and suicide related services, and for the analysis and reporting of data from the NSW Suicide Monitoring System (SuMS). In this position of Senior Systems Development Officer, you will work within a passionate team to directly support the NSW Health system and its services in using data to make informed decisions and to improve care.
What you’ll be doing
- Use technical skills to design, build and support Microsoft SQL Server databases and systems to meet business needs.
- Provide reporting expertise from a technical perspective and provide ad‑hoc reporting or data extracts from selected data collections as required.
- Provide support for InforMH information resources, investigate and problem‑solve issues, and liaise effectively with eHealth and vendors as required.
- Manage the administrative processes of a number of databases and systems used within InforMH.
- Support other technical staff in the building, management and maintenance of data environments and systems.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in developing reports using a variety of tools such as MS SQL and Power BI to meet business requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in analysing data with respect to data integrity, and demonstrated analytical, diagnostic and technical skills to support data quality and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience developing applications using contemporary software languages and tools.
- Experience in web development including ASP.NET, C#, Python (Django) and JavaScript would be an advantage.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant industry experience.
