Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Integration Engineer to support the development and integration of Open Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems for next-generation aircraft programs. The role focuses on avionics system architecture, platform integration, requirements engineering, and certification activities throughout the aircraft development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Open IMA system architecture and platform integration.
- Configure and manage avionics resources, including CPU, memory, and I/O allocation.
- Support system partitioning and architecture in accordance with ARINC 653.
- Develop, analyze, and manage avionics system requirements, ensuring traceability and compliance with ARP4754A.
- Support system integration, verification, validation, and technical problem resolution.
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Support certification activities in accordance with DO-178C, DO-297, DO-254, and related aerospace standards.
- Manage avionics interfaces, including AFDX (ARINC 664).
- Work closely with global engineering teams to deliver high-quality avionics solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in avionics systems engineering or systems integration.
- Hands-on experience in Open Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) development.
- Strong knowledge of:
- ARINC 653
- ARINC 664 (AFDX)
- ARP4754A
- DO-178C
- DO-297
- DO-254
- Experience in avionics systems architecture, integration, and requirements engineering.
- Familiarity with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS, Polarion, or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting FAA and/or EASA certification programs.
- Exposure to avionics systems such as Flight Management Systems (FMS), Data Link, Radio Navigation, HUD, Air Data Systems, or Inertial Reference Systems.
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is an added advantage.
