Job Summary:
The System Software Programmer - Advanced role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex system software solutions. This position requires an experienced programmer to work on advanced software tasks within a hybrid work environment, supporting the Department of Social Services. The candidate must be a current resident of South Carolina and possess a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain system-level software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve software issues.
- Ensure software meets performance, security, and quality standards.
- Participate in one round of in-person interviews and comply with contract duration requirements.
- Adhere to submission and documentation protocols including cover sheets and representation verification.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a system software programmer at an advanced level.
- Current residency in South Carolina (no relocation allowed).
- Valid security clearance as required by the position.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week and meet contract duration of 12 months.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with hybrid work environments and ability to adapt to fully onsite work if required.
- Familiarity with South Carolina Department of Social Services systems and protocols.
- Additional programming languages or certifications relevant to system software development.
Special Considerations:
- Candidate must be a current South Carolina resident; no relocation permitted.
- Work location is hybrid with 3 days onsite per week, subject to change to fully onsite on short notice.
- Compliance with submission requirements including SC Cover Sheet, Right to Represent, and resume with full legal name.
- Contract includes a maximum hourly rate of $80/hour.
Scheduling:
- Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
- Hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite per week, potential shift to fully onsite as needed.
- Contract duration of 12 months with possibility for extension.
