This role is focused almost exclusively on Tableau development and reporting. The ideal candidate can turn complex datasets into intuitive, high-performance dashboards that help drive business decisions.Position OverviewThe Tableau Developer will be responsible for designing, building, optimizing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards used across the organization. They will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and data teams to transform requirements into impactful visual analytics.This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys solving complex reporting challenges and creating exceptional user experiences within Tableau.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reportsCreate interactive visualizations that communicate complex data clearlyBuild and maintain calculated fields, parameters, sets, filters, and Level of Detail (LOD) calculationsOptimize dashboard performance and improve load timesDevelop reusable Tableau data sources and reporting frameworksWork with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business questions into dashboardsValidate data accuracy and ensure reporting consistencyTroubleshoot dashboard issues and support Tableau users across the organizationEstablish and maintain Tableau development standards and best practicesDocument dashboards, calculations, and reporting logicQualifications3+ years of hands‑on Tableau development experienceAdvanced knowledge of Tableau Desktop and Tableau Cloud/ServerStrong expertise in:Calculated FieldsLOD ExpressionsParametersSetsDashboard ActionsPerformance OptimizationTableau Data ModelingExperience building executive‑level dashboards and KPI reportingStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple reporting projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication skills and stakeholder managementPreferred QualificationsExperience with large datasets and complex reporting environmentsFamiliarity with Tableau extracts, Hyper files, and performance tuningBasic SQL skillsExperience with data warehouses such as Big Query, Snowflake, Postgre SQL, or SQL ServerExperience with Tableau governance, permissions, and deployment processesBenefitsDashboards are fast, intuitive, and trusted by usersBusiness stakeholders can answer key questions without manual analysisTableau becomes the primary analytics interface across the organizationReporting is standardized, scalable, and well documentedNew dashboards are delivered quickly with high quality and minimal rework
