Team lead - Python Developer

We're looking for a Team lead - Python Developer to help drive the evolution of our business systems. Odoo and team lead experience would be ideal, but what matters most is someone who can take real operational requirements and turn them into scalable, maintainable software.

You won't just be handed tickets you'll work closely with stakeholders, unpack problems, design solutions, and lead delivery. You'll also manage and mentor two developers, helping lift standards and capability across the team.

The role

• Translating business requirements into well designed, production ready solutions
• Designing, building and maintaining Odoo EPR and related systems
• Customising and extending ERP workflows to support real world operational needs
• Leading two developers providing technical guidance, code reviews and direction
• Driving best practices across code quality, testing and documentation
• Contributing to architectural decisions and long-term strategy

What we're looking for

• Experience with Odoo ERP
• Demonstrated ability to understand business processes and design systems around them
• Comfortable owning solutions end to end from scoping through to deployment and implementation (testing included)
• Minimum 12 months experience leading or mentoring developers
• Minimum 4 years of Python development experience in production environments
• Clear communicator who can work with both technical and non technical stakeholders
• Strong grasp of software fundamentals, maintainability and performance

Nice to have

• API integrations and third party system integration experience
• Experience modernising legacy systems

The important bit

• This is a hands on technical leadership role based out of our Notting Hill office with occasional interstate travel
• You'll be expected to think commercially, not just technically
• You'll have real influence over how our systems evolve
