What are we looking for?We are looking for a Tech Lead specialized in Java and Kafka with a strong background in the banking sector. This role requires a highly autonomous professional who can take ownership, proactively solve complex challenges, and operate independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Location: Hybrid. Madrid city center (Sol area). 3 days a week in the office.
Language : English is a must. Spanish desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Proven experience with Java , including Spring Boot .
- Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL (DB19 preferred) .
- Hands‑on experience with system integrations, interface management, and scripting.
- Solid background in Kafka and/or IBM MQ (mandatory).
- Deep understanding of REST APIs , JSON, and XML.
- Experience across the application lifecycle , including CI/CD pipelines .
- Knowledge of deployment and orchestration tools, particularly Octopus Deploy (Jenkins is a plus).
- Experience working with GitHub and/or GitLab .
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging .
- Understanding of investment products and financial instruments.
- Experience within financial markets or capital markets environments.
