Location: Brazil (any location)

Work Model: Hybrid for candidates living in state capitals and Remote for candidates living in countryside/cities outside the state capitals

The Professional We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly experienced technology leader with a strong software engineering background, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in international environments.

The ideal candidate remains technically engaged, supports architectural decisions, mentors engineers, and promotes innovation through modern engineering practices and AI-driven development.

This role requires someone who is equally comfortable discussing software architecture with engineers and business priorities with executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

Lead cross-functional software engineering teams in an international environment.
Manage Nearshore software development projects with a strong focus on quality and delivery.
Provide technical leadership leveraging Java and Spring expertise.
Drive the adoption of AI platforms and development acceleration tools.
Apply Specification-Driven Development (SDD) practices throughout the software lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical leadership.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, coding practices, and security guidelines.
Mentor engineers and technical leaders, fostering continuous learning and technical excellence.
Support delivery governance, prioritization, risk mitigation, and technical decision-making.
Contribute to the continuous evolution of engineering practices, Agile collaboration, and DevOps culture.

Education

Bachelor s Degree in:

Computer Science
Software Engineering
or a related field

Mandatory Experience

English C2 (Advanced/Fluent) with the ability to communicate confidently in international environments.
Proven experience as a Technical Senior Manager, Engineering Manager, or similar software engineering leadership role.
Strong software engineering background.
Hands-on technical experience with Java.
Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework.
Experience leading international and Nearshore software development projects.
Practical experience using AI platforms to accelerate software development.
Knowledge of Specification-Driven Development (SDD).
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Experience with DevOps practices.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
