Sr. Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, Data Center Planning & Delivery

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables affecting the supply chain and are looking for talented people to help.

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Infrastructure Program Manager in Herndon, VA, Seattle, WA or Chicago, IL to oversee data center build projects. The role leads cross‑functional and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through scope and schedule creation, budget management, completed design, implementation, commissioning and deployment. The candidate must be a strong communicator, comfortable with ambiguity, have mechanical/electrical engineering fundamentals, and apply project management tools and techniques for all project lifecycle phases. Experience with MS Office, MS Project, MS SharePoint, Tableau, Kanban, Playbook, SQL and systems integration is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver end‑to‑end data center builds
  • Work with stakeholder teams to map dependencies and drive schedules
  • Think big to solve major capacity challenges
  • Maintain high organization, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills, diving deep into critical path items
  • Deliver capacity to end customers efficiently

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of program or technical project management experience
  • Experience with varied infrastructure build scenarios
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (network, data center, hardware, software)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure design, operations or delivery
  • Experience in project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure

Compensation

Herndon, VA: 148,700.00 – 201,200.00 USD annually

Seattle, WA: 148,700.00 – 201,200.00 USD annually
