We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to design, build, and scale high-throughput, cloud-native backend applications. In this role, you will lead engineering efforts focused on microservices architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), drive architectural decisions, and ensure operational excellence. You will also serve as a technical mentor for the team, demanding high coding standards and deep problem-solving skills grounded in strong Data Structures and Algorithms.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Development: Design and build scalable, secure, and resilient microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and manage cloud-native systems on Google Cloud Platform(GCP), optimizing resource usage, deployment pipelines, and service communications.
- Technical Leadership: Lead technical discussions, conduct rigorous code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and mentor junior to mid-level engineers.
- Algorithmic Optimization: Apply advanced Data Structures and Algorithms to optimize performance, lower execution latencies, and minimize memory footprints across critical pipelines.
- Data Migration Strategy: Lead or partner on complex data migration projects, transitioning legacy datastores into modern cloud databases with zero data loss and minimal downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Java Mastery: 12+ years of core software engineering experience, with expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Microservices Expertise: Demonstrated experience designing, building, and operating RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
- Cloud Native (GCP): Hands-on experience deploying and managing backend services on Google Cloud Platform (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Bigtable, or Spanner).
- Computer Science Foundations: Superior problem-solving ability with deep expertise in DataStructures, Algorithms, and System Design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Data Migration: Proven track record of executing large-scale database migrations (RDBMS to NoSQL, on-premise to GCP cloud datastores) with zero-downtime strategies.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
