Role Overview
- The Technical Lead will be a hands-on Engineer who will also own architecture, integration design, engineering standards, code quality, and technical delivery for a Java/Spring Boot microservice supporting the Debt Management System platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical design for Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, event-driven workflows, and service integrations.
- Guide code quality, pull request reviews, testing standards, and engineering best practices.
- Own integration patterns with downstream services, OAuth2/Keycloak security, RabbitMQ messaging, and Oracle/JPA persistence.
- Partner with product, QA, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver production-ready capabilities.
- Mentor engineers and translate business requirements into clear technical implementation plans.
Required Experience
- 10+ years Java engineering; 5+ years technical leadership on enterprise microservices.
Core Skills
- Java 17+/21, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Spring Security, OAuth2/JWT, Keycloak, Oracle, JPA/Hibernate, RabbitMQ, Maven, Docker, Git-based CI/CD.
Preferred
- Financial services, fixed-income, trading, settlement, GSE, banking, or regulated domain experience.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or related technical discipline required; master's preferred.
