UAF Community and Technical College is seeking a Technical Program Assistant with expertise in their field and the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. This role requires proficiency in relevant computer applications and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Candidates should have experience and knowledge necessary to support departmental duties, potentially including specific licensure or certification requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong capacity to work with diverse student populations, as well as contributing to a supportive learning environment.
Candidates for the position will be evaluated based on their technical expertise and practical experience in the field, typically requiring at least one year of relevant experience. Proficiency in essential computer applications and effective communication skills, both oral and written, are crucial for supporting program operations and interacting with a diverse student body. Maintaining confidentiality and possessing any necessary licensure or certifications within the field are also important. An associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience is often necessary to effectively fulfill the responsibilities outlined by department heads and program coordinators. Minimum Qualifications:
Educational / vocational experience in subject area sufficient to perform the typical duties as required by department head and/or program coordinator of that subject area. Specific certifications or licenses are required within some fields. An associate's degree in relevant field or the equivalent may be required.
Position Details:
This positions is located within UAF Community and Technical College in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a temporary pooled position, which means that the recruitment remains open over the entire academic year and applicants are reviewed on an as-needed basis.
