About the Role

Our client, a leading financial technology company, is seeking an experienced Interim Technical Program Manager (TPM) or Senior TPM to step in immediately as a strategic backfill.

In this fast-paced, temporary role within the Data Services division, you will take over the execution of complex, cloud-based data initiatives. You must be able to hit the ground running from Day 1, managing key infrastructure projects and handling the influx of data requests from cross-functional teams without requiring a lengthy onboarding process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Immediate Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of time-critical cloud migration and data engineering projects.
  • Liaison & Prioritization: Act as the main bridge between the Data Services team and external departments, efficiently managing ad-hoc infrastructure requests and resource allocation.
  • Risk & Issue Mitigation: Quickly identify bottlenecks in ongoing migrations, assess risks, and drive timely resolutions to keep projects on track.
  • Agile Management: Maintain project documentation, schedules, and status reports using JIRA and Confluence within an Agile/Scrum framework.


Requirements & Technical Skillsets

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience as a Technical Program Manager, with a strong, definitive focus on infrastructure and data-driven projects.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Deep understanding of cloud services and architecture (specifically AWS). Hands-on experience overseeing infrastructure setups and integration projects (RESTful APIs, microservices).
  • Migrations: Proven track record of leading cloud and data migration projects successfully.
  • Data Engineering & Analytics: Strong grasp of data management, big data technologies, data modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Code Literacy: Ability to read and understand code (SQL, Python) to effectively communicate with data engineers and grasp technical roadblocks.
  • Tools & Monitoring: High proficiency in JIRA/Confluence. Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. The ability to manage pressure and deliver results in an urgent, interim setup.
